Arturo Betancourt

 

Born in Chihuahua, México and living in Mexico City,

 

Freelance photographer since 1993. I have ventured into various areas such as documentary, travel, landscape, architecture, and art photography. Parallel I have linked my profession in different interdisciplinary projects as a consultant and technical specially to recover old photo archives.

 

My work as a professional photographer always gone hand-in-hand with teaching, my experience dates back to 1994 and continues to teach classes, courses, workshops, training, consulting and conferences on different photographic universities nationwide and public institutions.

 

My work has been exhibited in more than 80 occasions in different museums, galleries and cultural venues both nationally and internationally, in countries like Germany, Argentina, Denmark, Spain, United States, Iceland, Luxembourg, Portugal and Singapore,

 

As part of my development, I studied Masters Degree in Creative Design in Mexico, a specialization in Contemporary Photography, Photography and Literature Course at the International University of Andalusia (UIA) in Spain as a Fellow of the INBA.

Claudia Adeath Villamil

 

 

Born in Mexico City and living in Copenhagen. 

 

At University, in Mexico, I studied communication and photography. Parallel to this, I worked as a professional freelance photographer and communication strategist for non-profit organizations. In Denmark, I have curated and coordinated various cultural and artistic projects. Currently I am building up a photographic agency (PhotoTrack), offering alternative image services for companies, organizations, personal or group projects. 

 

I have done documentary photography, portraiture and landscapes ever since I started my career as a photographer in 1995. In 2004, when I co-founded the non-profit Muévete x tu ciudad (Move for your city) I adapted strategies I had developed for doing photo series to the production of visual projects related to Urban Art and Communication. www.muevetextuciudad.org. In 2012, in Denmark, I cofounded another NGO  Ckultura.org to produce cultural projects integrating Latin American and Danish culture. 

 

I have published in more than 20 magazines and newspapers including in Denmark and Mexico. I taught photography at the Latin American University in Mexico City and have participated in numerous workshops in Mexico and London. 

 

My work has been exhibited on more than 30 occasions (collective and solo exhibitions) in museums, galleries, and cultural places around the world in Mexico City, London, Barcelona, Tucson, Luxemburg, Copenhagen and Hostebro. In October 2007, I published the documentary photography work “La muerte de tu lado” (Death on your side).
